- ➤ A dangerous Arizona fugitive—23-year-old Alex Bangash—who cut his ankle monitor on March 10 was captured in rural Texas last Thursday and will be extradited to face trial on multiple violent crimes including counts of sexual assault. KTAR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Country Thunder Arizona 2025 is underway in Florence at 20585 E. Water Way—65 miles southeast of Phoenix—with headliners Riley Green, Keith Urban, Hardy and Bailey Zimmerman performing during the four-day festival. Campgrounds opened today from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the concert area will open at noon on Thursday while tickets range from $166 to $748 before taxes and fees. KTAR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Taxpayers must file over 160 million federal and more than 3 million Arizona returns for tax year 2024 by April 15 — those who need more time may extend their deadline to Oct. 15 by submitting the required IRS or state forms. The IRS offers free online filing and refund tracking to speed up the process. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Arizona State running back Raleek Brown said he wants to stay healthy this season after a hamstring injury hurt him last year, so he worked on agility and stretching during the off-season. He looks forward to playing with a strong group of backs — coaches stress that a full recovery is needed for his quick play. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ The Pat Tillman Foundation will host the 21st Pat's Run this Saturday in Tempe to honor the NFL player who left his multimillion-dollar contract to join the Army after 9/11. The 4.2-mile race will finish at ASU's Mountain American Stadium and raise money for military scholarships. KTAR
