  • ➤ Today, Latino families in the Valley celebrate Thanksgiving by blending American customs with their own cultural dishes. In homes in Verrado, Avondale and Laveen, residents choose carne asada, tacos or tamales—each household adapting the holiday to show gratitude and unity.  The Arizona Republic

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • ➤ The Farmers’ Almanac ended its 218-year run by releasing its final edition—the 2026 issue—which forecasts average temperatures, light snow before Thanksgiving, and showers in Arizona this winter. Rising financial pressures led to the decision to end both print and online versions after December.  The Arizona Republic

  • ➤ The Arizona Department of Transportation announced three new specialty license plates that add to its 109 available designs — honoring Phoenix Mercury, ovarian cancer awareness, and the Verde Valley Wine Trail.
