- ➤ The Arizona Board of Regents announced a new $50,000 College Ready AZ FAFSA Scholarship to encourage high school seniors to complete the FAFSA and write an essay if they plan to attend a public university or community college. The fund, supported by the Arizona Community Foundation & Helios Education Foundation & Valley of the Sun United Way, will give 25 students one-time $2,000 awards. KJZZ

- ➤ A state water agency voted Wednesday to pursue four water augmentation projects including desalination to boost Arizona’s water supply. - ➤ The FDA approved SetPoint therapy, a tiny implant that does not use drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis, and Metro Phoenix rheumatologist Dr. John Tesser led its trial—showing the device lowers inflammation by sending a one-minute daily electrical pulse near the left vagus nerve. - ➤ Junior wide receiver Jordyn Tyson may return to the ASU lineup later this week after missing three games with a pulled hamstring — his coach said he showed encouraging speed in recent 11-on-11 drills. - ➤ The Suns defeated the Blazers 127-110 at Moda Center on November 18—Booker and Gillespie scored 19 points each while the bench set a season-high with 63 points. - ➤ After letting more than 40 points in two games for the first time since 2002, the Arizona Cardinals struggled with penalty calls and turnovers in a loss to the 49ers. Five key plays showed missed assignments and poor coverage (mistakes that led to easy scores) and left defense coach Nick Rallis saying the team must do better next time. The Arizona Republic
