  • Flooding in several parts of the Valley caused road issues—forcing emergency crews to rescue at least two people on Tuesday.  12 News

  • A Phoenix restaurant named Mister Pio, which opened in December 2024, was named one of the top 15 new restaurants in America by Eater for its primordially satisfying food that features Peruvian pollo a la brasa with fries, salad, and triple-cooked potatoes — chef Justin Nasralla said its focus on quality ingredients makes it stand out.  The Arizona Republic

CULTURE NEWS

  • Mötley Crüe announced the Return of the Carnival of Sins Tour to celebrate their 45th anniversary and will perform on September 16th at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix. VIP ticket packages are available at 9 a.m. today while general tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Nov 21.  The Arizona Republic

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Thousands of sandhill cranes have gathered in southern Arizona with many resting at Whitewater Draw, Wilcox Playa, and Cochise Lakes after coming from far north. Wildlife experts say the birds feed on food from farms and drink from wetlands—helping them get ready to return in the spring.  The Arizona Republic

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Officials launch Crash Responder Safety Week—an initiative aimed at protecting crash responders through improved safety practices on roadways and clear guidance for workers. The campaign highlights the importance of safeguarding workers while responding to crashes in our community.  12 News
  • A Mesa police official said eating while driving is legal in Arizona but warned that messy foods can distract drivers and increase road risks. He advised drivers to use easy-to-eat options to stay safe on the road.  The Arizona Republic

SPORTS NEWS

  • Sam Leavitt’s agent denied reports that the quarterback is exploring a transfer, saying his client is still deciding his future—he led ASU to a Big 12 Championship last season and played his final game on Oct. 25 before foot surgery ended his season.  The Arizona Republic
  • Right-hander Zac Gallen declined the Diamondbacks’ one-year $22 million qualifying offer (making him the fourth player to do so), so the team will get a draft pick if he signs with another team as a free agent.  The Arizona Republic
  • Former ASU football star Cam Skattebo, a Giants rookie sidelined for the season by an ankle injury—after recording 405 rushing yards and five touchdowns before getting injured—joined a fight on Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 17 when WWE’s Judgement Day taunted him.  The Arizona Republic
  • Arizona State men’s basketball rallied to beat Georgia State 75-62 on November 17 at Desert Financial Arena — they will begin a five-game road trip with a game in Hawaii on November 20. Coach Bobby Hurley said the team faced fatigue after a late Friday game against Gonzaga.  The Arizona Republic
  • ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt missed recent practices after foot surgery and is recovering on a scooter—his older brother said he is weighing his options amid transfer portal rumors.  The Arizona Republic
