- ➤ Target has announced a new 10—4 policy that requires staff to smile and greet customers warmly when near them, and to personally welcome guests within 4 feet. The policy will be in effect at Arizona stores as the company adjusts its approach ahead of the busy holiday season amid boycott pressure. The Arizona Republic
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hazel Chandler died at 80 on Nov. 8, after a 17-year battle with cancer—she fought hard for cleaner air and worked with groups like the Union of Concerned Scientists and Elders Climate Action. Her long career in environmental advocacy left a strong mark on the fight for better air quality and climate action in our area. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Arizona State football coach Kenny Dillingham’s new contract extension can earn him over $8 million in performance bonuses and creates a $500K bonus pool for staff—if the Sun Devils win their next three games against West Virginia, Colorado, and Arizona, the bonus pool will be triggered when the team reaches nine wins. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. underwent surgery for appendicitis on Nov. 10 and will miss the game against the San Francisco 49ers. He also said that injuries are affecting other players, as Simi Fehoko will be placed on injured reserve and others are listed as day by day. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Junior wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is ruled out for the game against West Virginia on Nov. 15 because he suffered a hamstring injury in ASU’s upset win over Texas Tech on Oct. 18—coach Kenny Dillingham said his return will likely not occur until Nov. 22. The Arizona Republic
