- ➤ Waymo and DoorDash announced a delivery service where customers in metro Phoenix can opt for autonomous vehicle delivery for groceries and meals from participating merchants + the service covers a 315-square-mile area including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler. KTAR
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Arizona’s construction industry grew quickly from 171,000 workers before COVID to about 229,000 now, making it a $25 billion business that still lacks enough skilled staff. Governor Hobbs announced a new apprenticeship program (aimed at filling 20,000 jobs by 2030) as leaders work to improve training and hiring practices. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Arizona regulators plan to review and possibly eliminate long-standing mandates and incentives aimed at improving energy efficiency and renewables, with public meetings scheduled in November and December to discuss the changes.
