- ➤ 17-year-old June Shaver collapsed from heatstroke while walking home from Dysart High School in El Mirage early in the school year—paramedics recorded her temperature at 107 degrees and she suffered burns that required five surgeries and nearly 29 days in the hospital before returning home on Aug 30 with a recovery expected to last up to 18 months.
