➤ Deputies found the body of a Hispanic man who went missing while crossing the Salt River near Devils Elbow on Aug. 24 at about 8 a.m.—his identity has not been released as officials notify his next of kin. The Arizona Republic

HEALTH NEWS

➤ A Valley mom who survived stage four jaw cancer with chemo, radiation and over 10 surgeries is planning to undergo lifesaving reconstruction surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center—where advanced techniques and titanium hardware will help her eat, speak and smile again. She will need to raise $50,000 to cover a year-long recovery that includes travel and lodging. 12 News
