BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Slick City Action Park announced it will open a new park in Mesa later this month and a second in Goodyear this October — both will join six other sites to expand the chain to seven Valley locations by early 2026. The new parks will have 10 to 15 slides, zip lines, laser tag and food, and the expansion will add about 450 local jobs. KTAR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A paralegal, Christopher Byers, was arrested after he was accused of smuggling synthetic cannabinoids into Fourth Avenue Jail when paperwork he submitted tested positive and evidence was found during a search of his home — several inmates were found with drug-laced papers at the jail. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Alyssa Thomas recorded 19 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for her 5th triple-double this season as Phoenix Mercury edged the Seattle Storm 85—82 on Sunday; Kahleah Copper scored 17 and Sami Whitcomb added 15. Thomas now holds five of the season’s 10 triple-doubles as Phoenix maintained its perfect record when at least five players score in double figures. 12 News
