- ➤ District Judge Dominic W. Lanza heard arguments on Aug. 6 from the San Carlos Apache Tribe and environmental groups seeking to block a land swap for Oak Flat—where Resolution Copper plans to use block cave mining to extract copper if the exchange goes forward. He said he will make a ruling before the 60-day review period ends on Aug. 19, when the swap could be finalized if not halted. The Arizona Republic
