CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Maricopa County officials seized more than 50 animals — including camels and a zebra — from a property where the animals had no food or water. 12 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Arizona law says front windows must let in at least 33% of light and reflective films cannot exceed 35%—red and amber tints are banned to help drivers see clearly. Back windows have no rules, but too dark tints can make it hard for drivers and police to see inside vehicles. The Arizona Republic
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Redshirt freshman Jaren Hamilton transferred from Alabama and joined ASU in January to start fall camp as he works to earn playing time in a high-powered offense—he brings track speed and lessons learned from his previous program. Coach Dillingham said Hamilton is encouraged to be himself while the team builds a player-led culture as they prepare for the upcoming season. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Former ASU defensive back Eric Allen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 2 in Canton, Ohio — he donned a gold jacket at the ceremony and played 14 NFL seasons with teams including the Eagles, Saints and Raiders. The Arizona Republic
