- ➤ Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said Buckeye man Steven Orona was given a life sentence for shooting 39-year-old Larry Milligan near Southern Avenue and Gibson Lane in Phoenix in September 2020—Milligan died when his car crashed on the road. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Maricopa County authorities indicted 51-year-old Adam Sheafe for the murder of Pastor William Schonemann, 76, whose body was found with arms outstretched as if he had been crucified on April 28 at New River Bible Chapel—Sheafe was extradited from Coconino County on July 18 and faces charges for plotting to kill 14 Christian leaders along with multiple felony counts.
