- ➤ During a Friday meeting, the Arizona State Transportation Board approved including a widening project for SR-347 from Riggs Road to Maricopa in its five-year plan to ease congestion and reduce crashes, with construction expected to begin in fiscal year 2027 (the project is estimated to cost about $134 million with funds from a new half-cent sales tax). 12 News

- ➤ On Friday night, Eugenio Suárez hit consecutive home runs to reach 300 for his career in the Diamondbacks’ 14-8 win over the Rockies — his 405-foot shot in the fifth and 398-foot shot in the sixth marked the milestone in a strong performance. 12 News
- ➤ NFL draft analyst Todd McShay said ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt showed strong skill in his first full season as a starter and compared him to top prospects such as J.J.
