- ➤ A jury in Phoenix convicted Lori Vallow Daybell on a murder conspiracy charge for allegedly plotting to kill her niece's ex-husband in Gilbert—jurors began deliberations at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday, took a break, and resumed deliberations Thursday morning. 12 News
- ➤ Maricopa County jurors convicted Lori Vallow Daybell on Thursday for conspiring with her brother to try killing Brandon Boudreaux on Oct. 2, 2019 — her sentencing for both Arizona cases is set for July 25. KTAR
- ➤ Attorney General Kris Mayes warned Maricopa residents to ignore and delete texts claiming to be from the fake Ministry of Communications of Arizona as scammers try to steal personal data and money (report such messages to her office or the FTC). 12 News

- ➤ Congress is considering a measure to end federal funding that could force Arizona PBS to cut broadcast towers—jeopardizing its emergency alerts and educational programming relied on by many in rural and tribal areas. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Edge rusher Josh Sweat, 28, signed a $76.4 million contract in March and led minicamp on Wednesday where he said he would work hard to help the Cardinals reach the playoffs—he joins new free agent linemen Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell and a top draft pick to boost the defense. 12 News
- ➤ Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll became the first player since Willie Mays to record four multi-home run games and two multi-triple games in a season—he is on track to score 126 runs and add many more triples, boosting his team’s playoff hopes. The Arizona Republic
