🌲 Environment
Arizona researchers tested OpenET, a free online tool that uses satellite data to show crop water use at field-level resolution.
Workshops in Maricopa introduced growers to its capabilities, though updates are needed before it supports daily irrigation decisions, especially for farms using flood irrigation.
🏥 Health
Experts advise caution as Africanized honey bees are active in Maricopa during warmer months and can attack if disturbed.
Residents should avoid bee swarms (especially near hives) and keep pets indoors when bees circle yards.
