- ➤ After 20 years with one IKEA in the Valley, the company announced plans to open a new smaller-format store in Phoenix at Village Square II on Cactus Road and Tatum Boulevard on May 7 when it also opened a refreshed concept store in Scottsdale—this Phoenix location will open early next year and offer about 23,000 items along with a Swedish Deli concept serving meatballs, plant balls and cinnamon buns. - ➤ Tonto National Forest announced that starting Monday, May 12, State Route 88 from Roosevelt Dam to Apache Lake Marina will close intermittently for repairs over the next five weeks—chip sealing and resurfacing work will last up to 72 hours per week and block access to facilities like Burnt Corral while keeping Roosevelt Dam open. 12 News
