- ➤ On May 7, Sky Harbor operated smoothly when Real ID enforcement began with extra TSA screeners and volunteer navigators guiding passengers—most wait times were under 10 minutes. Passengers without a compliant ID were subject to additional screening and advised to review TSA requirements before flying. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Arizona public schools can now hire retired police officers after Gov. Hobbs signed a law that expands the School Safety Program and lets schools add safety equipment, train officers to work with students with disabilities, and create emergency response plans—helping ease the shortage of active officers. State Schools Superintendent Tom Horne praised the law as a common-sense step toward improving campus safety. 12 News
