  • Danny Seidan of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that if no deal is reached on Colorado River water, growing drought concerns will strain the local economy. Stakeholders plan to push for urgent negotiations soon.  12 News
  • Drivers in Maricopa County are paying an average of $4.76 per gallon for gas today — 46 cents above the national average — as tensions from the War in Iran drive up prices.  12 News
  • Porter Airlines will launch seasonal flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor International to Edmonton on Nov. 6 and Calgary on Dec. 20 as part of its service expansion for the 2026 to 2027 season. The carrier will operate these routes from Terminal 3 using Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.  The Arizona Republic

  • A rare male ocelot traveled over 100 miles across four mountain ranges and highways in southern Arizona between April 2024 and October 2025 (its journey underscores the need for better habitat protection), and local youth named him Himdam, meaning 'traveler' in O’odham.  KTAR

  • CASS offers mobile healthcare services for families facing homelessness or poverty in the Valley today to help them access essential care.  12 News

  • Hamilton’s flag football team will begin its 2026 season with an option-based offense as 12 seniors graduate and their star quarterback transfers. Coach Matt Stone said the team, known for a 38-game winning streak, will rely on multiple players to lead the attack.  The Arizona Republic
  • Sports insiders say the Cardinals might explore signing Aaron Rodgers for next season after the Steelers tendered him, given his coaching ties with the Cardinals staff. The decision remains uncertain until the July 22 deadline+ local fans watch closely.  The Arizona Republic
  • Phoenix Suns team owner Mat Ishbia said on April 30 that Devin Booker will not be traded as the franchise stands behind him.
