- ➤ Maricopa County Animal Care and Control will join BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event from May 1-15 by offering reduced adoption fees at three shelters. - ➤ Pinal County Animal Care and Control euthanized a stray dog named Kendrick on April 25 after his canine distemper virus symptoms worsened, and the shelter canceled dog walks and playdates while increasing cleanings and quarantining animals to limit further spread.
