  • Maricopa County Sheriff's Office aviation crew (Tim Brennan, Ryan Castro and Richard Dickner) rescued three locals from a nearly submerged vehicle during dangerous flooding in Wickenburg last November and received the Town of Wickenburg's Medal of Valor at a ceremony on April 6.  12 News

  • A Consumer Reports study found that some Arizona grocery stores such as Costco, Aldi & WinCo offer lower prices than Walmart; Costco’s basket is 21.4% cheaper while Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods cost more. The report released Friday, Apr. 10 helps local shoppers compare prices.  The Arizona Republic

  • A federal judge on Friday barred Arizona from enforcing its gambling law against prediction market operator Kalshi, pausing a criminal wagering case set for a Monday arraignment — state officials will now consider their next steps.  12 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Maricopa County officials confirmed that an older man died of heat-related causes, marking the first reported heat death of 2026.  12 News

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Suns guard Grayson Allen exited Friday’s game against the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena with a left hamstring injury (he played only 51 games this season) and will miss the rest of the contest.  The Arizona Republic
  • Action Network’s report shows that a family outing to see the Diamondbacks costs $212.18 at Chase Field, making it the fourth-cheapest MLB experience. The cost includes tickets (roughly $169), snacks and parking and gives local fans an affordable way to enjoy a baseball game.  The Arizona Republic
