CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Manuel Carrasco Calderón, 22, pleaded guilty in January for his role in killing Bernardo Pantaleón, 30, whose mutilated body was found in a park near North Mountain—he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and four years of probation for gang cooperation and crimes against a body. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Maricopa's trial for Cudjoe Young, accused of armed robbery after following Mercedes Vega home in October 2020, was delayed to next month with his final pre-trial conference now set for April 22+ his trial is scheduled for April 29 after nearly 4.5 years and at least 16 postponements. 12 News
- ➤ Aaron Gunches was executed by lethal injection on March 19 at Florence state prison for killing Ted Price in 2002 and the process went smoothly after a two-year pause caused by botched executions in 2022 — Ted Price’s family said they felt relief that justice was finally served.
