- ➤ A federal jury convicted an Arizona man from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community of first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon for fatally shooting a tenant on Aug. 29 after wrapping the victim in bed sheets and dumping his body in a remote area—his brother and sister had been jailed as accessories—and he will be sentenced on May 27. 12 News
- ➤ A judge ruled that Lori Vallow Daybell will face two separate trials in Arizona—one for murder conspiracy in the July 2019 death of her fourth husband starting March 31 and one for attempted murder in a Gilbert shooting from October 2019 set for May 30—while ordering that the names of her two youngest children be included in juror questions to limit bias.
