  • Local drivers are facing rising fuel costs as gas prices have passed $4 per gallon amid tensions linked to Iran. The increase is affecting daily commutes in Maricopa today (according to reports).  12 News
  • SRP (one of the largest local utilities) proposed a temporary 3% reduction in electricity rates from May through October to help customers save about $5.57 per month. The utility board will vote on the plan March 26.  The Arizona Republic

  • ASU men's basketball team will play against Baylor at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Big 12 tournament at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The underdog team looks to build on recent wins and strong teamwork despite a tough season.  The Arizona Republic
  • The Suns ended their three-game homestand on March 8 against the Hornets at Mortgage Matchup Center, with Mark Williams sidelined (2–3 week reevaluation) due to a stress reaction in his left foot. The team will begin a six-game road trip on March 10 against the Bucks.  The Arizona Republic
  • Ryan Blaney won the Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, Mar. 8 after his team chose a late 2-tire pit stop when leader Christopher Bell’s crew switched to 4 tires.
