GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Arizona Department of Gaming announced a free peer support program that will pair those troubled by gambling with trained specialists through in-person, phone and online sessions. Managed by Dezerve Counseling, the program will launch statewide in spring. KTAR
- ➤ Maricopa residents should note that passport processing takes 4-6 weeks for standard and 2-3 weeks for expedited services, with mailing adding up to two weeks extra. New passports cost $130 with a $35 fee while passport cards cost $30 with the fee; 25 acceptance facilities serve Phoenix. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt is reportedly set to sign with LSU, as reported by ESPN's Pete Thamel, after recovering from foot surgery. He has made trips to Tennessee, Kentucky + Miami to weigh his options following his transfer from Michigan State. 12 News
