- ➤ Three grocers founded in Arizona — Bashas’, Sprouts and PetSmart — grew from local operations into major retailers while keeping state roots; Bashas’ began in 1932 and was family owned until its sale in 2021, Sprouts has expanded since opening in 2002, and PetSmart began in 1987 before going national. - ➤ Fry’s Food Stores offers a buy five, save $5 promotion on select national brand products until Jan. 27 — shoppers can mix and match items including canned soup and cereal, with similar bulk deals available at Bashas', Albertsons and Safeway through their loyalty programs. - ➤ Gov. Hobbs & the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity announced an additional $3 million in funding for 10 BuildItAZ apprenticeship programs aimed at boosting construction workforce skills to help fill over 20,000 jobs by 2030. 12 News
- ➤ Drivers in the Valley face several road closures this weekend that could cause delays — motorists should plan extra travel time and check their usual routes. Local travel is expected to be more challenging during these closures. 12 News

- ➤ Phoenix Suns coach Jordan Ott said guard Jalen Green participated in on-court drills yesterday after not playing since Nov. 8; Ott said Green will return as a starter with a minute restriction once he fully recovers. The Arizona Republic
