- ➤ Boycott Heaven, The Format's first studio album in 20 years, will be released on Jan. 23. The band will perform at ZIA Records (6 p.m. Jan. 23) and Stinkweeds (1 p.m. Jan. 24) in Phoenix while early listening events run Jan. 17-18 at over 100 independent record stores nationwide. - ➤ A recent LendingTree study shows that an Arizona speeding ticket raises annual auto insurance costs by about $1,071 and increases rates by 28%, while drivers can lower expenses by taking defensive driving courses or raising their deductibles. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ On Monday, Jan. 5, the Cardinals fired head coach Jonathan Gannon, leaving an opening amid a quarterback challenge.
